Children Of The Sea

As I look out over the ocean,
I can't help but wonder.
For so marvelous an entity,
the sands, the birds, and the sea.
Will I ever reach the end of the horizon?
Or will I stare and wonder away my days?
Dreaming of mythical mermaids,
and how much they mean to me.
I fall asleep to the songs of the seabirds,
singing to me as I begin to dream,
of the beach, the trees, and the water,
and the children of the sea.
