The youth walks up to the white horse, to put its halter on and the horse looks at him in silence. They are so silent, they are in another world. To many, the words love, hope, and dreams are synonymous with horses. I have seen things so beautiful they have brought tears to my eyes. Yet none of them can match the gracefulness and beauty of a horse running free. His is a power enhanced by pride, a courage heightened by challenge. His is a swiftness intensified by strength, a majesty magnified by grace. His is a timeless beauty touched with gentleness, a spirit that calls our hearts to dream.

To see the wind's power, the rain's cleansing and the sun's radiant life, one need only to look at the horse. You must in all Airs follow the strength, spirit, and disposition of the horse, and do nothing against nature; for art is but to set nature in order, and nothing else. When I bestride him, I soar; I am a hawk: he trots the air; the earth sings when he touches it; the basest horn of his hoof is more musical than the pipe of Hermes.
