My voyage by John T.baker

MY VOYAGE
by John T. Baker

Through golden days and silvered nights
I sail my skiff along
In search of sundry wondrous sights
That sing a siren song.

The menace of the morning mist
Means nothing now to me,
For clouds dare not disturb my tryst
With wind and sky and sea.

I seek a land beyond the sun,
A port to fortify,
Where villainy can be undone
And dreams refuse to die.

And if before that final goal
I must abandon ship,
I'll still remember in my soul
The pleasure of the trip.
